Employment Services is recognized nationally by job seekers and employers for our ability to provide access to employment related services conveniently through one source.
In addition to being the largest repository of job openings, DES is also responsible for the administration of a number of programs and services that are designed to assist individuals with specific needs.
Your first step is to contact or register with the Kentucky Department for Employment Services to let us know the type of services in which you are interested. In a couple months you may choose to Self-Register on-line, however at this time you will need to visit the DES Office that is in your area to obtain personal assistance. Currently you can Self-Register in any DES Office. You may find it useful to print a copy of the DES Registration Form and complete it before going into the office. By having all your information ready when you go into the office, your Self-Registration process will go much faster.
Whether you want to get a job, plan your career, find out your interests and skills, or enhance your marketability in your job search, our Resource Centers contain everything you need to be successful…. Internet access, word-processing and resume preparation software, printers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, videos, interactive Compact Disks, tutorials, instructive materials and a large number of job openings.
